Writing Centre Activities Spring 2017

This semester the Writing Centre arranges a weekly writing lab for students and workshops in oral presentation skills. For the first time a Norwegian course in academic writing is held this spring and the students get weekly support and feedback from Norwegian writing advisors. We have also started a satellite location of the Writing Centre in the library at Sørhellinga.

Writing Centre visitation continues to increase

The NMBU Writing Centre is becoming increasingly popular amongst NMBU students. During the 2016 autumn semester, the Writing Centre had 777 appointments with NMBU students needing assistance with writing assignments, term papers, and Bachelor and Master theses. This represents a 32% increase in visitation numbers from last semester (Spring 2016), and is part of a continuous increase in the number of visits to the Writing Centre over the last years.
