NMBU invites everyone to the formal matriculation ceremony and outdoor concert on Friday, 18 August 2017.
Matriculation is a festive occassion rich in tradition. The ceremony welcomes new degree students admitted to a Norwegian university for the first time.
The outdoor ceremony will take place in front of the Clock Building. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the university has planned an outdoor concert for students, employees and local community. The Norwegian band No.4 will perform a musical piece specifically composed for NMBU on the outdoor stage among the traditional and historical buildings on campus.
Students from the following programmes will be matriculated:
Degree programmes; 3-year bachelor and 5-year master
All English language master programmes
Dress: Formal, National Costume, if desired
No classes after 12:00
Meeting time: Latest 12:30
Please report to the meeting place for your faculty indicated below promtly at 12:30. Buddies from each faculty will be there to meet you and walk down to the lawn together with you. There is a designated area for each faculty, and the buddies will assist in locating the correct area:

Students from each faculty go on stage together with their buddies and
study coordinators. On stage, each student will receive a rose
from the dean, shake rector's hand and then continue
to the other side of the stageand return to the same location on the lawn.
Buddies and study coordinators will indicate the way.
